FrontDesk RequirementsThe components of the FrontDesk system can be installed on a single computer or shared on many computers. Typically, one computer is designated as the server and other computers are called workstations (see How FrontDesk Works for details). - Server
- One per hotel
- Runs the hotel database (InnAble DB)
- Responsible for backup and synchronization (InnAble.net)
- Workstation
- One or more per hotel
- Runs the FrontDesk application (InnAble FrontDesk)
If InnAble Link is being used to connect to external systems, the Link components may be installed on the server or on any workstation.

- Windows XP Professional or Windows Vista
- Hardware
- Intel Pentium IV or Core processor (or newer)
- Memory: 2GB RAM
- Hard Drive: 10GB free (Two Hard Drives Recommended)
- Mouse, keyboard, monitor
- Network
- Permanent high-speed internet connection (Cable or DSL)
- Network should be private (isolated from guest network)
Note:
In many hotels the server is also a workstation.
That is, the FrontDesk application also runs on the server (it can run on many computers at the same time).
Using the server as a workstation does not change the system requirements. |
